Wir sind Soojin und Henry. Ich, Soojin, komme aus Südkorea und bin 2018 nach Italien gezogen, um Essen zu studieren.
Ich, Henry, komme aus München und habe mich vor zwei Jahren dazu entschlossen, zu kochen.
Im Oktober letzten Jahres haben wir uns als WG-Mitbewohner und Kommilitonen des Masters in Angewandter Gastronomie:
Kulinarik an der Universität der Gastronomie-Wissenschaften im Piemont kenngelernt.
Für uns ist Essen Nahrung, Genuss, ein Medium von Kultur und ein Ausdruck
von Identität, Emotion und Glaube. Wir freuen uns, für Euch zu kochen.
Auch freuen wir uns, Euch unsere Kunst zu zeigen.
Ich, Soojin, habe eine Serie von Gedanken zu und Reflektionen über Corona begonnen,
um sie mit meinen Kommilitonen und Dozenten zu teilen.
Es war nicht mein Plan, die Serie für ein größeres Publikum auszustellen.
Nichtsdestotrotz hoffe ich, dass Corona uns Offenheit, Güte und Solidarität lehrt.
Das ist mein kleiner Beitrag. Ich, Henry, wurde stets von meinen Eltern gefördert und ermutigt,
mich künstlerisch auszudrücken. Auch wenn ich mich gegen eine Ausbildung und beruflichen Werdegang
in einem künstlerischen Feld entschieden habe, habe ich immer verschiedene Medien für mich selbst
und als Geschenk für Familie und Freunde produziert.
Die Auswahl der Arbeiten ist während eines Grafikdesign Kurses in London in 2018 entstanden.
Unser Essen und unsere Kunst soll nicht intellektuell sein. Sie sollen auch nicht Haute Cuisine oder Schöne Kunst sein.
Sie sollen unsere Emotionen und Perspektiven vermitteln. Wir laden Euch ein, anzuschauen und zu probieren.

We are Soojin and Henry. We cook and make art. Me, Soojin, I am from South Korea and I moved to Italy in 2018 to study about food.
Me, Henry, I am from Munich and made the decision to cook two years ago.
Last year in October we got to know each other as flatmates and classmates of the Master of Applied Gastronomy:
Culinary Arts at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Piedmont.
Food for us feeds, is a medium of culture, is pleasure and is an expression of identity,
emotion and belief. We are happy to cook for you.
Also, we are happy to show you our art. Me, Soojin, I started to draw a series of Corona thoughts and reflections
to share with my classmates and teachers. The series was never meant to be exhibited to a broader audience.
Nevertheless, I hope that Corona will make us embrace openness, kindness and solidarity. This is my little contribution.
Me, Henry, I have always been fostered and encouraged by my parents to express myself in an artistic way.
Even if I decided against an education and career in the arts field, I continuously produced various media just for myself
and to give away to family and friends as presents.
The selected work was created during a graphic design course in London in 2018.
Our food and art shall not be intellectual, nor haute cuisine or fine art. It is about sharing our emotions and perspectives.
